FRP tanks


I. Product introduction
Fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks can be divided into vertical tank, horizontal mechanical winding fiber reinforced plastic tank, transport tank, reactor, chemical equipment, fiber reinforced plastic horizontal tank, vertical tank, transport tank, container and large container. Depending on the used (storage or transportation) medium, epoxy furan resin, modified or phenolic resin and polyester resin are selected to be used as the adhesive. It is made of a corrosion resistant lining (with high resin content), an impervious layer, a filament wound reinforcing layer and an outer protective layer.

II. Scope of applications:  
It can be widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, textile, printing and dyeing, electricity, transportation, food brewing, artificial synthesis, water supply and drainage, seawater desalination, water irrigation and defense engineering and other industries. When it is used to store a variety of corrosive media, it can be resistant to many acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents. Meanwhile, it is mainly used in petroleum, chemical industry, pharmaceutical, printing and dyeing, brewing, water supply and drainage, transportation and other industries.
It is applicable to store and transport hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, formaldehyde, methanol, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, sewage, sodium hypochlorite and so on. Moreover, it can be used as underground oil tank, thermal storage tank and transport tanker.

III. Advantages of fiber reinforced plastics       
1) Specific gravity of fiber reinforced plastic usually is 1.8-2.1 and it is 1/4-1/5 of the steel. Its strength is higher than that of steel, iron casting and plastics. The thermal expansion coefficient of fiber reinforced plastic is approximately the same as that of steel, but its thermal conductivity coefficient is only 0.5% of the steel.
2) Fiber reinforced plastic container and  fiber reinforced plastic tank can resist  corrosion and have a long service life: Fiber reinforced plastics feature a special corrosion resistance. When it is used to store the corrosive media, it shows the incomparable superiority in comparison with other materials, and it can resist a variety of acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents.
3) Fiber reinforced plastic container and  fiber reinforced plastic tank can be designed flexibly, with excellent tank wall structure and performance: Filament wound fiber reinforced plastic can fasten physical and chemical properties of fiber reinforced plastic tank and non-standard device by changing resin system or reinforcing material, so as to meet requirements in different media and under different working conditions. The bearing capacity of the tank body is adjusted by the structure layer thickness, the winding angle, wall thickness and structure and design, so as to produce the tanks in different pressure levels, fiber reinforced plastic tanks (with some special performance) and non-standard devices. Such performance cannot be compared with that of the isotropic metal material.

Exquisite appearance:
The outer surface of fiber reinforced plastic tank is carefully polished and treated with anti-ultraviolet aging. The inner surface is formed in the steel mould. Its inner and outer surface is smooth and free of burr, bubble and other defects.
